Vehicle selection is the process of choosing the most appropriate vehicle for the Principal, threat level, route, environment, team structure, visibility requirements, and operational constraints.
Vehicle selection matters because the vehicle is the operational platform of secure transportation. A poor choice can reduce mobility, increase visibility, limit escape options, expose the Principal, or create technical problems during movement.
The correct vehicle is not always the most expensive, fastest, largest, or most armored. It must match the mission. The team should consider threat level, local environment, road width, parking, weather, passenger needs, luggage, team size, legal conditions, and ability to blend in.
